News From Downunder.
Saturday June 20th: Wellington. The All Blacks triumphed over France at the Cake Tin in a game that was dictated more by Welly-towns weather and a wonky referee than anything else. Never mind, a win is a win and that was duly celebrated in Jakarta by the faithful fans in Black. The worry is the loss in the first test. The curse of Les Blues! Fingers crossed for next year.
Saturday July 4th: Hawera, Taranaki. Big news coming over the wires this morning is the "ghost-cat" of Taranaki story. My comment, as are the comments of the Indonesian staff of Antipodean, is reserved. See the story > http://www.stuff.co.nz/oddstuff/2563071/Is-there-a-ghost-cat-in-Taranaki
August 24th- A great weekend for NZ Rugby, a tough win against our Antipodean brothers. The All Blacks ran out a 1 point winner against a determined Wallaby team- coached by Kiwi "dinggo" Deans. Not such a good result for Australian in the Ashes Test. Jakarta's big Australian community will be mournng the loss of the Ashes series to England while Kiwi's are mourning a loss to new world number 3 team- Sri Lanka
